BIOGRAPHY

Rayan LECURIEUX-DURIVAL is a young Guyanese dancer who started dancing from a very young age. He followed his dance course in Guyana in 3 institutes (Conservatoire de Guyane EPCC, the music and dance school of Matoury and at ADACLAM), before flying to Paris in 2016 where he joined the institute. Rick ODUMS training course. He has danced in different companies such as the “Jeune ballet jazz” directed by Rick ODUMS and Christelle CHINONIS, the “Jeune ballet Modern” directed by Bruce Taylor and Florence MAREGALIE.
In July 2018, he was selected at the end of the auditions at “ALVIN AILEY DANCE THEATER”. He participates in the Summer Intensive Dance in New York. Rayan then left Paris for the United States to join the prestigious “ALVIN AILEY DANCE THEATER” school in New York, where he will have the honor of being able to perform with the 1st company and also with the “Ailey Students Performing Group” , while perfecting the Horton technique in order to teach it.
Rayan will have the opportunity to work with certain choreographers: Matthew Rushing, Earl Mosley, Brice Mousset, Gladys Demba, Freddie Moore, Kirven Douthit-Boyd, Rick Odums, Geraldine Armstrong, Troy Powell, Elisa Clark, Francesca Harper, Shay Bland, Faustine Lavie, Jamie Carabetta ...
He will also have had the chance to support artists such as: Magali VÉRIN in 2016 and Saïna Manotte in 2020.
Since May 2021, Rayan has become a Member of the Pony Box Dance Theater Company in New York.
